A high profile pharmaceuticals manufacturer recently asked NASH for help to improve the performance of a pair of double Burgmann HSMR5S1 mechanical seals fitted to one of their Krauss Maffei vertical cone dryers.

Seal reliability had steadily declined over the previous 1-2 years and had reached the point where production losses and maintenance costs were unsustainable.
