The Problem

A pump specialist needed support to repair x2 Burgmann M42-200 mm mechanical seals on a large Siemens vacuum pump because the lead time and price from the OEM was unacceptable.

The Solution

The seals were collected by NASH and returned to the factory.

Both seals were refurbished with

• Re-lapped silicon carbide rotary faces
• New carbon stationary faces
• All new elastomers, springs and fasteners
• Drive lug bores trued to prevent rotary face hang up
